Cranberries
12ozfresh cranberries(Frozen works too)
0.33cupnatural sweetener (erythritol, monk fruit, or stevia)(Keeps it low-calorie)
0.5cupwater or unsweetened orange juice(Adds liquid for simmering)
1tsporange zest(Adds freshness and flavor)
0.5tspcinnamon(Optional, warms the sauce)
Pinchsalt(Balances flavors)
Instructions
Rinse cranberries and remove soft ones.
Combine cranberries, sweetener, water or orange juice, orange zest, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer for 10–12 minutes until cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
Taste and adjust sweetener if needed. Let cool before serving or storing.
